Pakistan’s Federal Minister for Information & Broadcasting Dr. Firdous Ashiq Awan today visited the office of Hurriyet, a newspaper published from
Turkey and held meeting with the Editor-in-Chief
Mr. Necdet Açan and editorial board of the daily. She updated them about the latest situation in Pakistan and the region. She also up-dated them about the latest flood situation in Pakistan and she termed it a disaster of similar nature which happened in 2010 also.
Mr. Acan apprised the Minister about
Pakistan’s coverage in their newspaper. The Minister encouraged them to have collaboration with Pakistani media and shared news of mutual interests with them.
She said that
Pakistan’s perspective should also be heard from the Pakistani media in addition to coverage by the international news agencies.
