Turkish Prime Minister to visit Pakistan on invitation of PM Gilani


ANKARA, (17 May 2012): On the invitation of Prime Minister of Pakistan Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani, the Turkish Prime Minister Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdogan will pay a 3-day official visit to Pakistan from May 20 to May 22, 2012. The Turkish Prime Minister will be accompanied by the First Lady and high-powered delegation.
 The Turkish Prime Minister will co-chair the second High Level Cooperation Council meeting along with Prime Minister Gilani in Islamabad. Both the leaders will address a joint press conference on after witnessing the signing of various Agreements of Cooperation between the two countries.
 It may be mentioned here that the first High Level Cooperation Council Meeting was held in Ankara in December 2010 in which Prime Minister Gilani represented Pakistan.
 During his visit, the Turkish Prime Minister will also address the joint session of Pakistan’s Parliament.
