The distinguished Foreign Minister of the Republic of Turkey,
Excellency, the Deputy Foreign Minister,
Excellency, the distinguished Undersecretary,
Representatives of the press,
Excellencies, colleagues and dear friends,
I feel deeply honored and privileged to receive the most valued award of Distinguished Services by His Excellency the Minister for Foreign Affairs.
I am deeply touched, humbled and feel over whelmed.
During my nearly three and a half years of stay in this wonderful, brotherly and friendly country, I made my best efforts to enhance the trajectory of our exemplary bilateral relations, especially in the economic and commercial domain.
Being an Ambassador of Pakistan in Turkey is an exceptional privilege and a huge honor.
Because relations between our two countries are very special and unmatched.
We are indeed one nation in two different geograph
ic locations.
We always felt as if we were in our own family.
All doors were always open for us.
It does not happen anywhere else in the world.
Turkey is our second home.
No two countries share each other’s happiness and sorrows as Turkey and Pakistan.
What makes this relationship truly special is the deep rooted bonds in the two peoples.
Apart from our common history, traditions, faith, aspirations, we enjoy shared values.
We stayed in Turkey at exceptionally important times.
Turkey, under the dynamic leadership of His Excellency, President Recep Tayyap Erdogan and Prime Minister His Excellency Ahmet Davutoglu has achieved a true economic miracle, has set high standards of people friendly social welfare. It has thus become an example in the developing world.
It has been our endeavor to learn from Turkey’s best practices.
And Turkey under its brilliant leaders has always gone an extra mile to be with Pakistan, in good times and in bad times.
Be it the earthquake of 2005 or floods of 2010 and 2011, Turkey has been in the forefront to share our pains.
The feelings of love and affection are deep rooted and mutually shared.
Excellency,
Pakistan too, under the distinguished leadership of Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif stands at the threshold of a defining moment of political stability, peace, harmony, rapid socio economic development and wellbeing of its people.
At this critical time, Turkey is indeed Pakistan’s most valued and trusted strategic partner in every domain.
Our two important countries are pillars of stability in the broader region in turmoil.
While thanking Your Excellency most profoundly for this great honor, I express the hope that relations between Turkey and Pakistan will continue to grow at rapid pace. I wish both the Turkish and Pakistani people a brilliant future.
It will be my great honor to continue to play a dynamic role, in whatever capacity it may be, to bring greater depth in bilateral relations with Turkey in all fields.
Long live Turkey Pakistan friendship and our strategic partnership.
